So I took my camera up to First Friday and got the requisite "what's she doing with a camera... that freak". As if these people never took their cameras anywhere.

Guess that's what I get for bringing mine to a community event. Labels me as a member not of their monkey-sphere.

What's more frustrating is that I didn't quite have a grasp on night photography (or the necessary items to take good night pics with) so most of my images turned out pretty bad. To be honest, I don't think any of them are really even worth posting.

Note to self: tripod makes for good long-exposure photos. Duh, right? Although the LAST thing I really needed was to bring a tripod along and draw MORE attention to myself in a tight community full of people fond of segregation.

On another note...

Might trek up to the coast one of these weekends before I leave and see about taking some pics of the water while I'm still here. Until then.
